Welcome to the website of Law&Legal Leipzig.

Our Leipzig office exists since 2018 as part of the nationwide operating association „Law&Legal Studentische Rechtsberatung e.V.“. Our team consists of more than 140 law students and trainee lawyers, who have already successfully passed the first state exam.

Our core task of legal consulting is provided in multiple fields such as daily issues (contracts of purchase and tenancy or mobile subscriptions) up to more complex questions. Naturally the decision concerning acceptance of consultation requests takes place regardless of age, origin and gender. We want to reach a highly diverse field of potential clientele while focusing on students, people in need and non-profit associations.

After a successful start, our highly committed team of consultants is looking forward to apply the knowledge already acquired and to be able to help people using it. To guarantee a high standard for our counselling we continuously work in close cooperation to fully qualified lawyers.

Certificate of Leipzig Legal Clinics

Members of our Legal Clinic can apply for a Certificate of Leipzig Legal Clinics after attending lectures and courses to the extent of 14 hours per week per semester, three workshops, and advising on three mandates. After fulfillment of these requirements it is possible to file an application with Prof. Dr. Boris Paal. For more information visit his website (here).

Your job as a consultant

Studying law involves a comparatively long period of education. As a member of our association, you will have the opportunity to put your legal knowledge into practice during your studies, beyond the theoretical solution of cases. By working in our consulting teams, you will have the chance to deal with legal questions and problems based on real cases, already during your training period. In doing so, you will acquire skills that can be useful in your upcoming professional career. For example, writing comprehensible pleadings or conducting telephone calls and settlement negotiations with the opponent. Above all, your knowledge and commitment will benefit people in need.
