Rental deposit not yet paid back
The landlord did not want to return the deposit and said that there were defects in the flat such as mould in the rented room and a broken dishwasher. However, these defects did not exist in the form they did and the advisors assisting the client were successful in getting the entire deposit returned to the client.
Cancelled flight? New flight? Many costs.
Our client's flight was cancelled one day before the scheduled departure of the flight and the airline did not request a replacement flight. She then booked a new flight. However, the airline refused to pay compensation. This is where the Law&Legal team came into play and contacted the airline.
Initial furnishing of a flat
Our client moved with her three-year-old daughter into a new flat owned by a social welfare institution. She applied to the responsible job centre for financial means for the initial equipment. The job centre rejected the application. Thereupon, the counsellors prepared an objection for our client in order to obtain the financial means for her after all.
Defects in the kitchen
The client ordered a kitchen, the assembly of which left many wishes unfulfilled and is now afflicted with 10 defects. The supplementary performance was difficult due to poor communication on the part of the other party. The team in charge of the case then contacted the other party to clarify the matter.
Disturbance of the peace
After our client had repeatedly and unsuccessfully asked her neighbour to stop disturbing the peace, she asked us for help. We wrote a letter to the landlord, who then sat down with the disturber several times. Since then there has been silence.
In a similar case, we met with the property management and another English-speaking tenant. After a long dispute, we were able to get our client to move into a quiet, much larger flat for the same price.
Partnership agreement
We drafted a partnership agreement for the organisation team of the economics exam ball according to their individual needs. In this way, the liability risk for any damage or failure during the ball could be distributed among the entire exam year in the form of a civil law partnership and did not remain with individual students of the organising team.
