Our office in Hamburg consists of dedicated law students and trainee lawyers, who have already successfully passed the first state examination. Our legal consulting is provided by teams of two to three members, under the guidance and support of our cooperating law firms and fully qualified lawyers. We offer our pro bono legal consulting in various areas. It ranges from issues regarding commercial law, tenancy law to difficulties relating to contracts for work and services. It covers the entire first state examination material. Our consultants are trained within the association and through various collaborations with law firms that offer workshops exclusively for our core activity. In this way, we ensure high quality advice from our committed members right from the start.

Our management team

We are the management team of the Hamburg office of Law&Legal e.V.. In addition the law firms Hogan Lovells, Rightmart Rechtsanwälte, Graf von Westphalen and Watson Farley & Williams support us in Hamburg with legal advice on a pro bono basis. Furthermore the lawyers Nils Asmussen, Markus Illmer, Rainer Külper, Matthias Kuhfeld and Annegret Haußner support us.

In November 2021, student counselling also started in Hamburg.

Your job as a consultant

As a non-profit association we are always looking for motivated law students who are interested in volunteering their knowledge to help others or who would like to get involved in our association. The work on our clients is characterized by independent work in a nice team, which consists of law students from different semesters.

Interested applicants should possess the following qualities:

In-depth legal knowledge
Interest in legal issues and the practical application of theoretical knowledge
A willingness to show initiative and teamwork, as well as willingness to solve a case and explain it in a way that is understandable to people without a legal background.
